Karlotta Krüger

Junior Producer

Stories aren’t just meant to be told on screen—they also need to be organized behind the scenes. It’s exactly this creative interplay that has always fascinated me about filmmaking. During my studies in Media Culture and Media Law, I first entered the industry through linear television, gaining initial hands-on experience at WDR.

After graduating, I joined MADE IN GERMANY Filmproduktion, where I had the opportunity to work on the award-winning documentary SEVEN WINTERS IN TEHRAN, among other projects. I then moved on to The Match Factory, where I spent several years managing international productions. During that time, I was involved in the realization of projects such as ROSEBUSH PRUNING by Karim Aïnouz, HARVEST by Athina Rachel Tsangari, and MOTHER’S BABYby Johanna Moder.

Now I’ve found my way to Heimatfilm—and I couldn’t imagine a better place to bring my passion for producing to life. Whether it’s story development, navigating the funding jungle, contract fine print, or last-minute crew changes: I love solving problems before others even notice them. With clarity, structure, and a dose of Berlin-style composure.
