SPOOR, by director Agnieszka Holland, was chosen to represent Poland for the OSCAR for Best Foreign Language Film. We get to know on January 23rd when the academy anounces the five official nominees, if the international coproduction, with HEIMATFILM as German coproducer, will be among the five nominees, for the Academy Awards Ceremony on March 4th.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

GRAIN premiered in Sarajevo

Last night our film GRAIN celebrated its world premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival as the competitions opening film. Director Semih Kaplanoglu presented his latest feature together with main cast Jean-Marc Barr, Ermin Bravo and parts of the film crew.

Yesterday distributor W-FILM held the North Rhine-Westphalia premiere of our film ONLY A DAY in Düsseldorf at the sold out Atelier-im-Savoy cinema. Director Martin Baltscheit and his team presented the film, before he starts his tour through Germany during the next weeks. Read more…

Last night the german critics association held its annual award ceremony for the best films and outstanding performances. Lilith Stangenberg won the prize as best actress of 2016 for her role as Ania in Nicolette Krebitz’ film WILD.
